The brief

Pixboom creates a connection between fashion bloggers and large fashion retailers so that those who read the blog can easily find similar clothing in the retail stores as they see on the blog. They came to Hyper Island for a new communication strategy.

The idea

Since Pixboom mostly wanted to attract new fashion bloggers, we changed their identity to appeal this audience more. Instead of being an internet service company, we wanted to create a service that fashion bloggers found interesting.

The concept

Apart from making a new identity, we put the fashion blogger up front on the new website. Together with trends, hot new clothing and interesting bloggers, Pixboom became more a must have for fashion bloggers than yet another internet service.

The result

Pixboom was very happy with the new identity. One of our team members did his internship there to finish and implement the identity.

Pixboom
Homepage

The purpose of the homepage is to attract new fashion bloggers. We show interesting bloggers in the banner at the top and reactions from famous fashion bloggers above the fold. Below we see the 3 easy steps to add the service and a real time feed of picture that have recently been tagged.

Pixboom
Experts

The Experts page shows profiles of the most active and famous fashion bloggers. You can get inspired by the cloths they post and easily find shops where to buy these.

Pixboom
Trends

Since Pixboom collects a lot of data on clothing, we gathered some interesting statistics like most popular colors, trending clothing, ... And collected these on one page for visitors to explore.

Behind the scenes

Research was the most important part of the process. Apart from researching a lot of fashion blogs, and creating our own, we also did a long workshop with the client learning about their values, future visions and target audiences. The team we had was great, and every day was filled with a lot of music, dance and collaborative longboarding.
