Conceptor
The brief
IKEA came to Hyper Island to ask for a future vision. The company is very successful at the time being. But they were looking for new ideas to assure they would still be successful in 5 years.
The idea
IKEA knows very well how to organize our real life when it comes to storing items and giving the tools to live efficiently. We asked ourselves: what if IKEA could organize our digital life as well?
The concept
IKEA Homepage is a digital room you own, which you fill with digital furniture you like. All your online activity is realistically browsable throughout the room.
The result
They were very happy with the solution, although the final concept was perhaps to far fetched for them. Yet some features we see returning in campaigns they do today.
Final solution
This case movie represents our final solution which we presented to IKEA.
Research
We started off our project with a lot of research. Everyone researched different topics, and we brought everything together on a huge whiteboard. This is a time lapse of that day.
